SDS organize Parents’ Day singing competition encourage rapport among family
Johor Bahru, 4/4/2019 – Materialistic gifts seem to be too general to giveaway to dad and mum during Parents’ Day nowadays. This has triggered local café bakeries, SDS to organize Parents’ Day singing competition, named SDS WeSing Karaoke Singing Competition 2019, to encourage people to sing with their parents and present lasting memories created together as precious Parents’ Day gift to them.
SDS has officially launched the singing competition during a press conference on 4 April 2019, at their outlet in Paradigm Mall Johor Bahru, together with the competition’s co-organizers, Loud Speaker KTV and Secret Music Singing Academy. The organizer has announced an audition for the singing competition which will be held on 27 April 2019 (Sat), 12pm to 5pm at Loud Speaker KTV Taman Sutera to select top 10 participating groups for final competition which will be carried out on 11 May 2019 (Sat), 2pm, at Paradigm Mall Johor Bahru.
The registration for the competition is now opened. Interested participants can form a group with their parents to register at SDS outlet or online at http://bit.ly/SDSWeSing2019 . Each group is required to have 2 to 6 members. A registration fees of RM30 is payable to organizer during audition.
“We understand that people nowadays might neglect time spent with their parents because of their busy lives,” said Ms. Rachel Liem, Marketing Manager of SDS.
“When we were kids, we used to sing with our daddy and mummy. They were the first persons who taught us how to sing, and also the first persons who sing for us. They might not sing very well, yet they sang for us because they love us. However, most of us might have forgotten these sweet memories created with them, and less likely to sing karaoke with them now when we grow up. This is the main reason for us to initiate this singing competition, in order to encourage people to appreciate precious time spent with parents, sing with them, and regain the sweet childhood memories shared with parents.” Ms. Rachel commented.
At the press conference, SDS unveiled classic microphone sponsored by Loud Speaker KTV together with co-organizers to launch the competition significantly. Local online celebrity, Ms. Lim Pei Sy has also taken initiative to perform and sing with her mother and younger sister as a demonstration during the press conference to encourage more people to grab this opportunity to sing with their parents in the competition.
According to Ms. Rachel, no restriction on performing style will be applied on participants. Free goodies bag will be given to all participating groups during audition. Fabulous prizes worth total RM15000 and above including cash prize, hampers, trophies, free resort stay, free singing class, free singing at KTV and more, sponsored by SDS, Loud Speaker KTV, Secret Music Singing Academy, Herbal Farmer, CPJ Music Sdn.
