Johor Bahru, June 18th, 2019 – IKEA Southeast Asia unveiled a preview of upcoming tenants for Toppen Shopping Centre at today’s Key Handover Ceremony. With close to 85% of its retail space leased out, Toppen is looking forward to welcoming even more brands to partner within its 1.1 million square feet, four-level centre.Together with IKEA Tebrau, Toppen, with its rooftop community hub, The Topp, is also set to attract customers with a myriad of fresh retail, dining, e-sports and entertainment experiences – a complete ‘retailtainment’ offer for the people of Southern Malaysia.
The Heart & Hub of the Community
The Topp is a unique rooftop concept that is the first-of-its-kind in Malaysia. It features four distinct zones tailored for shoppers from all walks of life. These interactive outdoor spaces will be complemented by over 30 F&B specialities and alfresco outlets, a rooftop garden, multipurpose courts, skate parks, a spacious event piazza, kids’ playgrounds, a cinema, e-sports arena and even a water play area. There is definitely something for everyone at The Topp.

Joining this diverse portfolio in Toppen are new-to-Johor brands such as Ben’s Independent Grocer (B.I.G), Malaysia’s premiere grocery and food destination, The Pantheon, who will be debuting its second eSports arena in Malaysia, 9 to 9, a first-in-Malaysia flagship online-to-offline (O2O) by Hush Puppies, and Concept Haus, a premium streetwear and athleisure retailer. Together with well-known favourites such as TGV Cinemas, Harvey Norman, Sports Direct, Burger King and Marrybrown, and local Johor outlets with fresh concepts like 7 Oaks, Toppen’s retail mix will offer Johoreans and tourists a complete retail experience with great meeting places and spaces for family and friends to hang out and enjoy their time together.
